Having recently read this : pixsylated.com/2008/06/firefox-3-for-photographers/#more-75 insanely cool article about Firefox for photographers, i strongly recommend you to do the same, and download the Plugin PicLens ( www.piclens.com/ ) if you don´t already have it.
Also you should enable ICC profiling in Firefox: www.robgalbraith.com/bins/content_page.asp?cid=7-9311-9478
(AFAIK that is not jet able in IE, I didn´t search the web for too long though)
The above Screenshot is taken from my new, calibrated Lenovo Thinkvision 22" screen, as you see in the max picture size it is able to resolve 1920X1200 Pixels(brag), showing the strobist.com fotopool through PicLens.
I now have updated my Browser to an level, that I didn´t konw would be possible. I didn´t even think about stuff like that. Especially enable it to read ICC is very cool, and comes in handy when browsing Flickr and similar pages.
