This is the best WiX tutorial yet. Semi-complete, which is light-years beyond the current sparse documentation. I found it on the WiX wiki.

Update: After today, I think I qualify as a WiX guru. Got a fully featured installer (or two) up in running for the new application.

RoachFiend: Basically, this tutorial will show you how to create your first extension from scratch. Since every programmer always learns from the famous "Hello, world!" example, I figured that would be a good way to introduce you to developing extensions.

P.S. As I wind down Juice again, I think I'm going to convert this blog to a C#.NET DEV blog. That's what Juice was, really cool C#.NET development. I've taken most of the code and re-implemented on my latest project. So, Juice will survive, but it'll be called something else.

Juice Bookmarklets

As I am no longer actively developing Juice, I decided to create javascript-based bookmarklets to replicate a bit of the functionality I had w/ Juice in the other crappy browsers like IE and Moz. Simply drag the following links to your Links bar and you perform all sorts of neat searches. Let me call these the Juice bookmarklets.

Search Technorati - searches Technorati for Webpages that refer to the current Webpage.
Search Bloglines - searches Bloglines for RSS items that refer to the current Webpage.
Find in Dictionary - searches for definitions on the highlighted dictionary terms. Double-click on any word on the current Webpage and click this button.
