TTC Strike May 2006

If you didn't know, Toronto experienced a brief transit strike today. Forever known as the TTC strike of May 2006. I had to drive my daughter north of the city, so I escaped traffic entirely. I went north on Airport Rd past Hwy 89, then back down to 89 and across to Yonge, then finally down the 404 to work. I guess I was kinda lucky. By the time, I drove home, the strike was over.

Toronto, the next Silicon Valley?

Joey deVilla starts the conversation about Toront being the next Silicon Valley. Dave follows that up with Please, let's figure out how Silicon Valley could be more like Toronto. The grass is always greener. Dave and Joey don't realize that Toronto is dominated by banks and could never be the creative, that is, Silicon Valley. You couldn't image how boring the average software development job is in Toronto. I know many will argue otherwise, with their hearts.
